With Quasar, you can run applications such as mobile Safari browser, Twitter and run games at once like running multiple applications in Windows PC. According to Quasar developer Pedro Franceschi, the tweak is dubbed as Windows manager for iPad that allows you to run apps in a window that can be resized, moved, closed or expanded to full-screen mode.
However, running more than two apps is still posing some problems but it’s worth a try. Quasar is integrated with multitask tray or app switcher that easily allows you to shut down the window and app itself by just tapping the iPad screen or holding the close button. But when you only click the button once the window is closed but the application keeps running in background (in the app switcher). It is integrated too with notification center and with Safari/App Store/YouTube/links that opens other apps. IPhone applications are optimized to run in the right resolution in Quasar. You can configure options from Settings app.
Using Quasar, apps window size can easily be resized, move them across the screen, close (or fully close holding the close button) or full-screen them, and if you are in full-screen mode, you can simply press home button to go back to window mode.
The app is not that stable and there have been a reported bug that affects the seamless app operation, but since it has just been introduced it is worth a try. The developer is said to be working to fix the bugs that the users are currently experiencing including the addition of the Bluetooth keyboard support soon.
The app is available in Cydia at $9.99 a jailbreak app store for IOS based gadgets. It is only compatible with iPad device and requires at least iOS 5.
